About the Postion

An immediate opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources Manager. As a member of the Leadership Team, the HR Manager interacts with every department and every management level, providing payroll, benefits, compliance and employee relations expertise. This position is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures

  • Support recruitment and retention of qualified candidates that meet the needs of the organization and ensure the company’s success

  • Ensure that compensation and performance management processes are designed and executed to align people’s performance with the goals of the organization

  • Payroll administration including dealing with multi-state tax jurisdictions

  • Maintain an employee handbook that defines HR policy

  • Administer benefits including annual plan re-evaluation, open enrollment periods, assisting with claims resolution, etc.

  • Employee relations – handling issues such as discipline, conflict resolution and policy violations

  • Ensure EEOC compliance

  • Maintain department records and reports

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws

  • Support our emphasis on safety throughout the workforce

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university; Master's Degree or MBA in HRM preferred

  • Minimum of five years of human resource experience as a Senior Generalist or Manager

  • Proven HR skills including recruitment, performance management, employment law, compensation, workplace policies and procedures

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

  • Solid command of Microsoft Office products

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required

  • Flexible and available to interact with staff at all levels

  • Proficiency with ADP payroll systems (preferably Workforce Now) required

  • Proficient at handling difficult human relations issues with professionalism, respect and confidentiality

  • Familiarity with ISO 9000/or equivalent and QMS (Quality Management Systems)
